Our Amazing Sailing

Funniest moment:
Flynt - Tyler was rocking our boat and I nearly fell out, but I was laughing!
Chris - everyone screaming about small, little jelly fish!
Tyler - when people bumped together and they screamed or said 'what are you doing?'
Adalia - some were fighting because they thought others were cheating.
Achazia - it was funny when Jireh made the boom whack me in the face.  It didn't go boom!
Amanda - Gloria and I kept on arguing and trying to make the boat go in different ways.

Scariest moment;
Flynt - I saw something big in the water and it definitely wasn't the boat shadow...
Grace - when Miss Lee told us our boat would tip over.  Luckily, it didn't!
Achazia - we kept on bashing into each other with the boat!

Helpful moments:
Hannah - when the instructors towed us out of the way of another boat.  It was fun because we got to go fast.

Sad moments:
Hannah - when we had to go back to school.
Phoenix - sad getting off the boat, but happy because I hurt my butt!
Ayush - I had to go with the Teacher - Miss Lee!  But she got out after awhile.
Adalia - we had to wait to eat our morning tea.
Ayush - the boom hit me in the head.
Grace - Sandra kept getting me with the boom.

Exciting/Happy moments:
Stacey - when we were splashing everybody with bailers.
Michaela - getting dry and not being wet!
Flynt - getting back to school!
Chris - I caught 4 jellyfish...
Flynt - I got to pat the little dog that had been watching us.
Chris - Every time i turned the handle, the boom hit me in the back of the head.  Quentin and Jayden laughed their heads off!
Tyler A - Jordan dropped his hat in the water.

Winners:
Tyler won 2 races by enough!
Keiki and Sam T won one race.
Caragh and Stacey came second in one race.
Sofia and Rory won the race back to shore.
Chris won one race (but did he do it really...???)

What did we learn?:
Chris - we learnt how to sail a boat and how to make it go fast and how to make it stop.
Grace - how to pull the rope to tighten or loosen it to change the speed.
Jireh - how to put the boat together, and fix it.
Amanda - the names of the parts of the boat.
Chris - how it can be painful getting hit by the boom.

How could it be improved?:
Achazia - a bit more time with instructions.
Tyler - for more experienced sailors, have a harder set up.
Grace - change the way you steer a boat!
Hargun - have a longer session on the water.
Chris - more competitions, slaloms, interesting courses.

1. What made you want to go on a camping trip with your father?; Because I like the outdoors and going camping with my family and spending time with my Dad.

  2.What was your reaction when you found out that the medallion gave you the power to time travel?; I was really surprised when i found it and I wanted to go to lots of different places and times.

 3.Were you concerned about your father in the present when you time traveled for the first time?; Yes, because I didn’t know where he was and he might be worried about us, but all I knew was that I was worried about him.

 2.What was your reaction when you found out that the medallion gave you the power to time travel?; I was very surprised that the medallion made me travel place to place, and I thought it was cool at first but then it turned evil.

3.Were you concerned about your father in the present when you time traveled for the first time?; Yes, because I didn’t know how to get us back to him, and I was worried sick about Dad.

2.What was your reaction when you found that really old skull?:I was amazed and I wanted to know how much it was worth.

3.Did you like time traveling?:Not at the start but when I got the hang of it I became more confident when I time traveled later on.

4.How did you feel when there was a really big storm on the first  night of camp?:I felt nervous because I’m more of an inside person but I like the thrill of the storm and how tense it is.
